Live Stream Information & Resources

Posted 16/02/21

With the current situation of the covid-19 pandemic, St. Matthew's Anglican has moved the services online for the foreseeable future; there are, of course, exceptions that can be made in times of moral or spiritual necessity (funerals, baptisms, etc) but until direction is received from the Anglican Diocese of Edmonton, with the blessing of Bishop Jane Alexander, our parish has opted to remain closed for in-person worship.

That said... we are committed to having a vibrant online presence!

Every Sunday, our service will be streamed on our Facebook page (10am). If you would like to subscribe or like our page, you will get a notification when the service goes live. If you wish to search for our page yourself, you can search for "St Matthew's Anglican Church St. Albert" otherwise simply click here. If you do not have a Facebook account, you can simply click on the link of the service below and it will allow you to watch the stream without an additional social media presence.

We have had a lot of people inquire how they could reach out financially and continue to support St. Matthew's from a distance. We cannot express how grateful we are for this inquiry. Here is the Pre-Authorized Giving (PAG) form that you can fill out. At the end of the calendar year, a tax receipt is issued to the address on file, pending us not being able to gather in person. And the best part? When we are back to meeting in person, you can very easily cancel this and go back to placing an envelope in the collection plate. Please note that if PAG is not something you are interested in, there is a mail slot on the parking lot door of the church and envelopes and donations are collected from there frequently as well.

St. Matthew's traditionally utilizes the Book of Alternative Services for worship. If you wish to have a copy of the prayer book with you at home during this time of online worship, please connect with the parish. Archdeacon Lee would love to get a copy into your hands! Alternatively, the pages are uploaded here in a PDF format if you wish to use them to follow along with.

Come to the Desert: this is a Lenten series that we do on Tuesday evenings at 7:00pm; while we unfortunately can offer a virtual desert only, you are more than welcome to come and join us from the comfort of your home. The services will be uploaded to both our Facebook page as well as here.

March 8, 2022: Livestream coming soon

Here you will find the link for the week's current service stream. The link usually gets uploaded shortly after the service commences (pending technical difficulties) and will remain there until the next stream is uploaded. As mentioned, you do not require Facebook to be able to watch the live stream.
