Upcoming Church & Family Events!
All are welcome to attend! For more information, please contact the parish office or feel free to email someone from "Our Team"

"I like pancakes, do you like pancakes?" Come and join us for our Annual Pancake Supper (Shrove Tuesday Supper). March 5, 2019. Supper is served between the hours of 5:30-7:30pm and guests are invited to arrive at the time that best suits their dining habits. (Not speaking from experience, but if you come at 7:28pm, the syrup might have run out!) Tickets are available after the services in the weeks leading up to the supper as well as at the door. Adults: $7.50; Families: $15.00. All proceeds go to our Sponsor Child!

Weekday Lenten Eucharist: Tuesday evenings starting on March 12, 2019, there will be services of Holy Eucharist starting at 7pm. The services are generally 45 min-hour in length and allow for time to sit in the desert during the service. All are welcome to attend.

Come to the Desert!: Jesus, after his baptism, chose to spend 40 days in the desert in which he was intentional about focussing on his relationship with God through prayer, reflection, and distance from the excitement of everyday life; you are invited to stop by St. Matthew's between 12noon and 1pm any Monday-Thursday of the Lenten season to come, sit, and reflect in the desert. There is no opening or closing, there is just a gathering of anywhere from one to six fellow "desert go-ers" who sit and reflect to themselves. You can come for five minutes or stay for 60; there are bibles available in the church if you wish to read scripture while you contemplate or you can bring a book or simply not read at all. However you journey through the Lenten 40 days, may it be a holy journey.

Anywhere but here! Sturgeon Valley Theatricals will transform the hall into an amazing cafe-style show centred around the theme of Journeys of all sorts. The show has two performances on Saturday, March 16, 2019: 1:30pm and 7:00pm. This event is likely to be sold out similar to the first performance in the fall. You can get your tickets after the service starting Feb 24, 2019 or email the coordinators by clicking here. It is going to be an awesome show, hope to see you all there!
